Elder
Jake Rider grew up in Southern Idaho and, after leaving for Montana for four years, he returned
and made North Idaho his home. He is currently finishing up course work to gain a teaching
credential in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education, and he looks forward
to his career helping shape the minds of children and be an example of Christ's love in their lives.
Jake met his wife Chaley while in college. They have three children, Ebbie, Kora, and Saben.
Jake and his family enjoy spending time outdoors in God’s amazing creation and being with
family. Jake’s heart is deeply rooted in serving in the Lions class (K-5) in children’s ministry. His
favorite verse since a child is, “It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must
revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him” Deuteronomy 13:4..
